At D & S Lewis Cleaning, we understand that you may have questions about our services, scheduling, and policies. Below are answers to the most common inquiries to help make your experience smooth and stress-free.

 

Booking & Pricing

How can I get a quote?
Simply visit email us your details, enter details about your home and preferred schedule, and receive a dynamic quote instantly.

Am I charged the full quoted amount even if my cleaner finishes early?
No, you’re only charged for the actual time your cleaner spends working in your home. If they finish early, you won’t be billed for unused time.

Do I need an in-home visit before booking a cleaning?
Absolutely not! You can get a quote and book your cleaning online in just a minute—no sales visits required.

Are cleaning supplies included?
To ensure personal preferences and avoid cross-contamination, we ask that clients provide their own cleaning supplies. However, if you don’t have supplies, we can bring them for an additional charge of $10 per visit ($15 for move-in/move-out cleanings). You can opt into this option via your customer dashboard. Please note that we always use your vacuum and mop/bucket.

When am I charged for the service?
You are charged only after your cleaning is completed. The final invoice reflects the actual cleaning time, rounded to the nearest 15-minute increment.

Are there any commitments or contracts?
No, you can cancel at any time without penalties. We do not require long-term commitments or pre-set appointment numbers.

 

Scheduling & Availability

Can I get a same-day booking?
We can’t guarantee same-day bookings, but we’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

Do I have to be home during my cleaning?
It’s up to you! If you won’t be home, simply provide entry instructions through your customer dashboard.

Will my cleaner/s arrive at the exact time I book?
Most of the time, yes. However, we allow a one-hour window due to potential traffic or weather delays. If there’s any delay, we’ll notify you with an estimated arrival time.

 

Cleaning Services

What’s included in a standard cleaning?
A standard cleaning covers vacuuming, dusting, surface wiping, and deep cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms. You can view a full list and add extras through your dashboard.

Do you provide move-in/move-out cleaning?
Yes! We specialize in move-in and move-out cleanings, ensuring your space is spotless and ready for its next resident.

What areas of my home are covered in a deep cleaning?
Deep cleaning includes inside cabinets, appliances, grout cleaning, window washing, and more. It’s ideal for an extra-thorough refresh of your space.

How long does a typical cleaning take?
On average, a standard home takes about three hours. The exact time varies based on your home’s size and chosen services.

How many cleaners will you send?
Typically, one cleaner will be assigned to your home. If you have a recurring service, we’ll aim to send the same cleaner each time for consistency.

Are your cleaners trained and insured?
Yes! All our cleaners undergo background checks, reference verification, and hands-on training. We also carry insurance and WSIB to protect you and our staff.

What if I’m not happy with my cleaning?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you’re not happy, let us know within 24 hours, and we’ll make arrangements to address any concerns.

 

Policies & Safety

Do I need to provide my own vacuum and mop?
Yes, we ask that you provide your vacuum and mop/bucket for hygiene reasons.

Are your cleaning supplies eco-friendly?
If we provide supplies, they are eco-friendly. If you have specific product preferences, you’re welcome to provide your own.

What happens if my cleaner encounters an unsafe or unsanitary situation?
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are deemed unsafe, including severe clutter, disconnected utilities, or hazardous environments.

What if my pet is home during the cleaning?
We love pets! However, if your pet becomes aggressive or anxious, we may need to reschedule or discontinue service for safety reasons.

What if my cleaner accidentally damages something?
We take great care in your home, but in the rare event of accidental damage, we are insured and will work with you to find a resolution.
